For this adventure, students will meet in Cedar City two days before the annual Utah Shakespeare Competition to plan and rehearse their very own performance! Students will also attend workshops in acting, dance, and theater tech, and attend professional plays by Southern Utah University. Students will stay at Henley Manor, a Shakespeare-themed lodge in Cedar City, for the entire week. Meals, lodging, play tickets, travel during the week, costumes, and props are all provided.
October 17-20, 2019
For this adventure, students will meet in St. George, known for world-class rock climbing. They’ll be guided by Williamsburg mentors with extensive rock-climbing experience. In addition to learning about beginner rock climbing, students will get to learn and practice belaying (lock-offs, transfers, and pick offs), rope management, bouldering, anchor building, lead climbing, and multi-pitch climbing. Meals, lodging, equipment, and travel during the week are all provided.
