Why This Class
As your student progresses through adolescence and prepares for new challenges and adventures in high school and beyond, you want to know that they have the resilience to thrive amidst change. This course helps students develop that resilience.
Students in this course learn and practice skills including mindfulness, humor, and visualization. They observe great examples of resilience around them and explore different mindsets for learning, gaining awareness of the value of a growth mindset for persistently pursuing their educational and life goals.
By completing the projects in this course, students become better able to maintain composure in difficult times and see the opportunities in adversity. At the end of the course, students feel more confident moving forward as resilient stewards of their lives.
