Student Experience & What to Expect

Connect your students with a global
community of like-minded, ambitious peers.

Not Your Average Online Program

You want your online offering to appeal to students who will naturally excel in an independent setting—the type of student our program attracts. Most of our students are highly motivated and college-bound. While our classes require more work and dedication than the average online course, we offer Classic and Honors options in many subjects that allow students to choose the workload that’s right for them. Our live and interactive classes let students connect with peers and mentor from various cultures, backgrounds, and worldviews, giving them a global experience that sets them apart in their future pursuits.

The “Burger” Culture

You want students in your online program to feel connected to something bigger than themselves—and so do we. Students in Williamsburg courses enjoy a close-knit community and culture of belonging (often referring to themselves affectionately as “Burgers”). They are challenged to learn how to think, not what to think, and face challenges together that don’t often take place in traditional school settings, including through our unique leadership courses and outdoor adventure camps. Students also have access to Williamsburg’s weekly Inspiration Hour, an online event where special guests present empowering ideas.

What about Special Ed? As a provider of public education, you have many students with varying abilities and needs. This includes students with special needs, physical disabilities, and Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). You need an online provider that understands your responsibilities with IDEA compliance and works with these students effectively. While your school is ultimately responsible for Special Education Services, we work with districts and charters to ensure that every student is meeting annual goals, that communication is frequent and effective, and that each child is progressing to the best of his or her ability.

What about college readiness? Our courses are rigorous and meet or exceed the entrance standards of most colleges and universities. In the state of California, we offer a comprehensive list of A-G Ready Courses.
