Why This Trip

Is your student a natural performer? Do they love expressing themselves on stage and finding creative new ways to interpret the classics? If so, this trip is made for them. By signing up, your student will get to take part in the annual Utah Shakespeare Competition with a team of Williamsburg Learning students and mentors—developing their skills, attending plays, and much more.

For this adventure, students will meet in Cedar City two days before the competition to plan and rehearse their chosen performance. Our team will have three students performing monologues and two groups of two or three performing at the competition. Besides performing in the competition, students attend workshops in acting, dance, and theater tech, and will attend professional plays by Southern Utah University. Students will be staying in a hotel within walking distance of the college campus. Meals, lodging, play tickets, travel during the weekend, costumes, and props are all provided.

If your student wants to advance their theater skills, spend time with other Williamsburg students and immerse themselves in a weekend of fun and personal growth, don’t miss this chance to save them a seat for our 2021 Shakespeare Trip.
